Jeremy O. Harris is the creator and writer of the hit Broadway show Slave Play, for which he won the Kennedy Center Rosa Parks and Lorraine Hansberry Playwriting Awards and the Lotos Foundation Prize in the Arts and Sciences. Harris co-wrote A24’s upcoming film Zola with director Janicza Bravo, which premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. He is currently adapting Ales Kot’s sci-fi epic The New World for Warner Bros.

Harris is co-producer of HBO’s Euphoria. He was named "The Queer Black Savior the Theater World Needs” by Out. He is a 2020 Human Rights Campaign honoree, recipient of the Vineyard Theatre’s Paula Vogel Playwrighting Award, and MacDowell Colony Fellow. He is under commission from Lincoln Center Theater and Playwrights Horizons. Harris is a graduate of the Yale MFA Playwrighting Program and currently resides in New York City.
