Harper Pitt | LOIS SMITH

 

Lois Smith is a veteran of film, stage, and television who was most recently seen on Broadway in The Inheritance. Since her 1955 debut in Elia Kazan’s East of Eden, she has appeared in many films like Five Easy Pieces with Jack Nicholson and more recently Ladybird and Marjorie Prime. She will also appear in the forthcoming Wes Anderson film, The French Connection, as well as Alan Ball’s Uncle Frank.

Smith began her prolific stage career in the 1950s productions of The Young and Beautiful and Tennessee Williams’ Orpheus Descending. She has starred in revivals of Eugene O’Neill’s The Iceman Cometh and Sam Shepard’s Buried Child, in addition to productions of The Grapes of Wrath, The Trip to Bountiful, and Tony Kushner’s The Illusion.
